This National Volunteers Week – Palms is offering an opportunity to meet two of our long term volunteers for a live Q&A direct from Timor-Leste.

Wendy is placed in a teachers college where she is assisting to rebuild educational infrastructure which is still recovering from the impact of colonisation by the Portuguese and then the Indonesians prior to Independence.

Andie is sharing her permaculture skills with women who are developing natural dyeing skills for the traditional cultural and economic practice of tais weaving.

The discussion will be facilitated by Palms’ Executive Director Soraya Kassim, who is in Timor Leste leading a study tour and field trip to the country.
