Accredited training up and running in Samoa

Accredited training up and running in Samoa

by Helen Colla

Today at Don Bosco College in Salelologa, Savai’i, we officially started our 2 new accredited courses: Samoa Certificate I in Hospitality and Samoa Certificate I Trades Foundation Skills. This is a culmination of over two year’s hard work by myself and the dedicated staff at Don Bosco. It was a great success.

Hospitality students

So far, we have 20 students enrolled into the Trades programme and 6 enrolled into the Hospitality programme. Each programme is scheduled to run for 12 months.

Don Bosco Savai’i, is one of the first providers in Samoa to run accredited training. It is a new venture for everyone; staff, students and industry in Samoa.

I feel very privileged and happy to be a part of such an exciting time here in Samoa and at Don Bosco.
